I’m back in my hometown in Ohio after 8 months of traversing southern California while living rent free by house and pet sitting. If you’ve been following along on my adventures for some time now, you are probably familiar with my house sitting escapades. If you’re new to the blog, check out my previous house sitting posts here.
In all honesty I felt that I was finished with house sitting but silently said to myself I’d only do it again if it was a place on the beach in California and for an extended period of time. And just like that – my silent wish became a reality. I applied and was chosen to sit a beach condo and two cats in San Clemente, California for 3 months! But when the sit came to an abrupt end after only 5 weeks due to the homeowner’s plans changing, I ended up finding myself bouncing around southern California from home to home becoming quite the house sitting extraordinaire.
I sat for screenwriters and scriptwriters, VP’s of television networks, newlyweds, and more. From the Hollywood Hills to historic Pasadena, to Palm Springs, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey and Studio City with many stops in my favorite desert town of Joshua Tree during the in-betweens. But the best part of it all? All the many dogs and cats I had the opportunity to love and squeeze and spend my days with. I feel so lucky to have loved so many animals. Sometimes I feel like all I really have to offer to this world besides my singing is love. And house and pet sitting provides me ample opportunity to do so! I’m happy to share some photos of my little love-bugs below. How I miss each and every one of them!
