Hello again from Tucson, Arizona. I flew out of Ohio just in time to beat the bitter drop in temperatures. I’m happy to be back in the warmth, deep blue endless skies and sunshine, and the desert landscape that seems to feed my soul so well. Today I took a beautiful 2-mile hike in Catalina State Park.
I sat a long while on a bench perched at the top of a hill and felt overcome with appreciation. Nothing soothes me more than being out in nature. When there, all I want is more, more, more! I desperately think of ways to live in it forever. But then I finish my hike, get in my car, and a favorite song comes on the radio and I think: this is nice, too. In the words of Keith Urban: I don’t need a whole lot of anything, I just need a little bit of everything.
That’s me.
I love the way I have spent the last 8 months of my life: traveling, being free, meeting amazing people, immersed in nature, soul seeking. I don’t want it to end. I will find a way so that it won’t have to. While most people continue to follow the crowd and stick to their unwavering paths, I will blaze a new trail.
